- Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure efficient cashflow management and proficiently reconcile bank statements while handling remote cheque deposits.
- Ensure efficient handling of accounts payables, accurate invoice postings, and timely recording of customer payments.
- Handle the booking of prepaid expenses.
- Manage accounts receivable, including aging analysis and dunning activities.
- Maintain vendor accounts and negotiate agreements as needed.
- Handle GST/HST filing and remittance to the respective government agencies.
- Make necessary adjustments in general ledger accounts.
- Generate wires and prepare cheques to pay suppliers.
- Preparation of payroll and expense reports.
- Perform reconciliation and make journal entries at the end of each month and year.
- All remaining related tasks.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the accounting field.
- DEC, DEP or university-level training in accounting.
- Good knowledge of French and English.
- Experience with SAP and/or ADP is considered an asset and would be highly beneficial for this role.
- An excellent knowledge of the Office suite.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
