Job Overview
As an Accounting Technician at Anton Paar Canada, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. You will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including balance sheet account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, vendor and customer account management, and more. Your attention to detail and dedication to maintaining financial accuracy will be crucial to our success.

Core Responsibilities
- Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure efficient cashflow management and proficiently reconcile bank statements while handling remote cheque deposits.
- Ensure efficient handling of accounts payables, accurate invoice postings, and timely recording of customer payments.
- Handle the booking of prepaid expenses.
- Manage accounts receivable, including aging analysis and dunning activities.
- Maintain vendor accounts and negotiate agreements as needed.
- Handle GST/HST filing and remittance to the respective government agencies.
- Make necessary adjustments in general ledger accounts.
- Generate wires and prepare cheques to pay suppliers.
- Preparation of payroll and expense reports.
- Perform reconciliation and make journal entries at the end of each month and year.
- All remaining related tasks.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the accounting field.
- DEC, DEP or university-level training in accounting.
- Good knowledge of French and English.
- Experience with SAP and/or ADP is considered an asset and would be highly beneficial for this role.
- An excellent knowledge of the Office suite.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
