Reporting directly to our Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Specialist will provide support in financial, administrative, and clerical services, ensuring efficient and accurate assistance for the finance department. This is an opportunity to apply everything you have learned to date and to build on that within a team committed to delivering results.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all invoices received are entered into CONCUR accurately per approval matrix
- Manage Accounts Payable inbox
- Reconcile vendor statements against accounting records
- Biweekly AP list payment processing, posting, and remittance issuing
- Prepare journal entry for monthly credit card reconciliation
- Proactively collaborate managers to ensure all invoices are flowing accurately and on a timely basis
- Obtain credit card receipts for all company cards
- Other duties as assigned from time-to-time
- With one to three years' experience in Accounts Payable
- Relevant education in finance or accounting is preferred
- Highly organized and able to prioritize to hit deadlines
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including excel
- Experience with SAP and CONCUR is an asset
- Experience inside a multi-entity environment is an asset
