A challenging opportunity presently exists for a highly motivated, self-directed and innovative professional to provide administrative support to the Director of Forensic Psychiatry. You will play a key role in organizing, maintaining and supporting the work of the Director at the Southwest Centre for Forensic Mental Health Care.
You will be an energetic, career-oriented team player committed to meeting the needs inherent in our service. A graduate of a recognized secretarial diploma program with previous administrative support will be essential. Essential Qualifications
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent as recognized by the province of Ontario
- Graduate of a recognized office administration/secretarial diploma program
- 50 wpm typing competency
- Intermediate computer skills particularly with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent ability to adapt to change and transition in the workplace
- Superior communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to establish and balance competing priorities in a challenging and changing work environment.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Demonstrated initiative
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Exercises considerable judgment, tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature
- Ability to develop, input and manipulate data to facilitate decision making
- Experience with Workbrain
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
- General knowledge of the Ontario Forensic Mental Health System and Justice Services in Ontario
- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities relative to supporting the Director role.
- Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine (primary series, boosters and/or XBB) OR one dose of XBB vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
