Job description

We are seeking an Administrative Clerk to join our team in Winnipeg.

As the Administrative Clerk, you will be responsible for providing support to our Claims and Member Experience Teams. Duties will include filing, scanning, sorting of claims documents as well as support with data entry in both adjudication and client care programs.


Administrative Clerk:

Key Responsibilities:


  • Scanning and filing of paper claims
  • Filing claims that have been scanned. Retrieving paper claims as required by Adjudicators for claim verifications
  • Incoming and outgoing mail for Claims Department
  • Outgoing mail for Administration Team
  • Filing for Administration Team
  • Processing, and printing provider and member cheques
  • Recording and mailing out cheques for Cost Plus and HCSA claims
  • Processing, and printing of explanation of benefits
  • Mailing of cheques and EOBs
  • Office supply inventory and ordering
  • Maintenance and upkeep of the photocopier area (ensure paper is full in copier, stock paper, retrieve prints and distribute or mail out)
  • Maintaining files in the Claims Department
  • Special Tasks as required.

To be successful as an Administrative Clerk with People Corporation, you will need:

  • Sound knowledge of standard office administration procedures, and of the Microsoft office suite.
  • Excellent grammatical, spelling, and communication skills
  • The ability to maintain good public relations, both within and outside the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • The ability to adhere to existing company policies and procedures.
  • The ability to use tact, discretion, and maintain information in the strictest of confidence.
