Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director, Central Zone Rural Acute Care, the Administrative Support IV - Staffing Clerk provides vital support to the Acute, Emergency and Labour and Delivery units for Drayton Valley, Ponoka, Rimbey and Wetaskiwin hospitals. The Administrative Support IV - Staffing Clerk uses the Environment for Scheduling Personnel (ESP) staff scheduling application proficiently and works within established staff scheduling processes to complete complex and often urgent staff scheduling tasks within short timelines in a busy, high-pressure environment. Attention to detail will be crucial as you ensure that employees are scheduled appropriately, and employee pay data is captured in accordance with AHS policies, procedures, and collective agreement provisions. Leveraging accomplished, technical and interpersonal communication skills, in a fast-paced environment while adapting to frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. As the successful candidate your key responsibilities will include filling pre-booked and immediate shifts that result from staff vacation, leave of absence, illness and education leave, anticipating staffing needs and informing managers of shifts that require further attention, entering data for payroll, providing scheduling reports, detailing records and compiling/providing statistical information. Understanding these responsibilities, the ideal candidate will focus on developing trusted relationships, effective interdisciplinary communication with staff/coworkers.

Required Qualifications: Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications: You will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program. Computer skills including MS Office Suite of products. Previous experience with ESP with Scheduling and Payroll Experience which includes excellent knowledge of applicable collective agreements and pay. Experience with rotation and position management. 2 years' experience in an administrative capacity in a health care setting.
Preferred Qualifications: 2-5 years' experience as a Staffing Clerk
