Under the supervision of the Management Team, the Host Team ensures that our guests have a memorable dining experience by providing quality customer service. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests and will be responsible for providing a welcoming and seamless dining experience for all patrons. You will work closely with the management team and serving staff to ensure both guests and staff needs are met.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times and provide exceptional customer service to guests.
- Make every effort to be knowledgeable about our products and menus; Attend pre-shift meetings.
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, and escort them to their table or waiting area.
- Listen to guests’ needs and make every effort to fulfill them.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to ensure maximum use of available seating.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, waitlists, and table assignments, and communicate this information to servers and other restaurant staff as needed.
- Manage guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback, and work with the management team to resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Communicates effectively with management and servers to ensure all necessary service information is collected and passed to appropriate teammates.
- Liaises with fellow teammates to ensure all guests of the restaurant are well attended to.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned and/or directed
Education and Qualification Requirements:
- WHMIS training required; provided at Sidebar.
- Prior experience in a guest services or customer service role is an asset.
- Have a working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Personable and eager individual interested in gaining hospitality experience.
- Basic knowledge of industry best practices, guest services, and food & beverage.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player, punctual for shifts, and reliable to execute work as assigned.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move tables.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
