These 5 positions are dependent on funding through the Ontario Summer Experience Program (SEP) Grant, and applicants must be between the ages of 15-24.
The Art Camp Assistants support the Camp Instructors with delivery of art programs through preparing materials, assisting in small groups, helping to ensure the students understand the activities, and providing additional support to campers with special needs. Art Camp Assistants receive two days of pre-camp training and additional regular training as they work alongside experienced, professional Art Studio Instructors in delivering the programs. Work will be on site at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection.
The successful candidates will be students wishing to pursue studies in Child education, Art Instruction and teaching. Experience working in Summer Camps or with children / youth in a teaching requirement is required.
