About the Job
The Assistant Controller should have strong analytical, technology, communication and organizational skills. This position requires at least five years of experience in accounting or finance, and public accounting experience is highly valued. The Assistant Controller is a professional who supports and reports to the Corporate Controller about all the organization's accounting, controls and financial reporting activities. This individual will ensure that the organization has timely information. The Assistant Controllers will be instrumental in maintaining the accountability of the organization's financial resources and protecting the assets of its investors.
Primary responsibilities include:
Accounting - Oversee accounting responsibilities including:
- CAPEX and capital lease accounting, monitoring and reporting including Robots as a Service (RaaS) assets and deferred revenue
- Reconciliation and reasonability of balance sheet and income statements accounts including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Clearing Accounts, P&L reasonability
- Cross-trained on project accounting
- US Sales & Use Tax compliance and reporting
- Compliance - strong knowledge of US GAAP revenue recognition / research accounting issues for compliance
Reporting - Complete timely monthly financial closings including:
- Corporate consolidations
- Variance analysis
- Cash flow forecasting
- Compile and present financial reports to senior management including financial and non-financial KPI’s for business operations, HR, H&S, etc.
- Maintain financial reporting models
Process Optimization
- Finance department - develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Systems - Contribute to ERP (EPICOR) optimization to increase productivity and enhance data integrity
- Internal Controls - Make recommendations to strengthen internal controls, improve policies and streamline processes and procedures
Special projects as required by the Controller, Director of Finance, and CFO
- Budget and forecast inputs
- Senior Management presentation

Required skills:
- CPA designation with 5 years experience (at least 3 years in public accounting preferred).
- Self motivated, attention to detail but can see the big picture.
- Excellent understanding of accounting standards and relevant financial accounting regulations.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of accounting software programs.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent accounting skills.
- Strong supervisory and management skills.
- Knowledge of hardware manufacturing is preferred.
