The Opportunity:

Are you an administrative professional who loves organizing and keeping up to date records? Canadian Natural is looking for you! As the Administrative Assistant supporting Wolf Lake Operations, you will assist in the achievement of departmental goals as they support Primrose & Wolf Lake goals and targets. In addition, you will ensure consistent and timely flow of information between teams in a very fluid work environment. You will excel in this role by utilizing your strong time management and initiative skillset.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced and talented professionals and take part in interesting and challenging work assignments. Key Accountabilities:

  • Payroll
  • Accounts Payable
  • Training updates
  • Well servicing supplements
  • Collect, enter and save safety meeting attendance and round table notes
  • Create absenteeism and overtime reports
  • Check for upcoming progressions and ensure that the organization chart is up to date and any changes are emailed
  • Entering disability and leaves of absence
  • Verify time for hourly employees (key component of this role). Ensure that timesheets are balanced and update changes as required
  • Prepare documents; journal entries and batch corrections
  • Contribute to project work

Other Details:

  • Job location: Wolf Lake, Bonnyville
  • Shift schedule: 5x2 - Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
  • Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Regular Policy

  • This is a safety sensitive position

Skills & Qualifications:

  • General Administrative diploma or certificate is desired
  • 5+ years of experience in an office environment, priority will be given to candidates with a background in oil and gas
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail is critical, as are strong analytical skills with a strong work ethic and effective communication skills
  • Familiarity with and understanding of:
    • Accounting concepts and principles
    • Research strategies and analytical thinking
    • Microsoft Excel
