The Opportunity:
As the Assistant Foreman, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of plant operations within the Sukunka Natural Resources Inc. (SNRI) team. You will be responsible for facilitating safe, reliable and cost-effective production and operation of Pine River Gas Plant, West Sukunka and gathering system. As a leader within the team, you will be required to support and promote our culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Effective leadership, communication and coordination skills are essential as a key function of this role. Effectively engaging stakeholders including: local land owners, the MD & Counties, and the Facility Engineering, Production Engineering, Reliability and Maintenance teams based locally and in Calgary.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day organization and direction of all production related operations within PRGP, West Sukunka and gas gathering area in order to meet or exceed our production goals in a safe, cost effective and environmentally sound manner.
- Co-ordinate various plant/field and gas gathering personnel involved in tasks such as integrity, plant optimization and facilities construction, maintenance, and safety.
- Provide daily mentorship to team members with a clear display towards operational, technical, financial, safety excellence, as well as health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
- Report on daily production volumes and costs.
- Ensure continuous improvement through mentoring, coaching and providing performance feedback to operations staff.
- Act as the primary contact for the company within SNRI with regards to contractors, services, landowners, etc. as they pertain to daily operations.
- Ensure area compliance with all governmental regulatory bodies such as the BCER, TSBC and WorksafeBC. Co-ordinate and attend safety and OHSE meetings.
- Ensure corporate health, safety and environment policies are implemented into day to day routine of all operators and contractors in the field with the assistance of the company’s Health, Safety and Environment coordinators; ensure regulatory compliance and corporate HSE policies are carried out to the highest standard.
- Backfill Production Foreman when on holidays.

Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of production/field experience in an operations role, with primary focus on natural gas production both sweet and sour. Maintenance trade experience may also be considered.
- 2nd Class Power Engineer preferred .
- Provide planning and economics to projects, T/A and routine Preventative maintenance in the area.
- Working knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations and budget preparation experience.
- Skilled communication, coaching and training abilities related to facility equipment, processes and interactions (plant to field and site to site)
- Strong data analysis and computer skills with SCADA, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Production Tracker, ESSbase, Accumap, PVR
