Sterling Crane requires an individual to fill the temporary hourly position of Receptionist based in Prince George, BC. This is a full-time position reporting to the Branch Manager. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.This role will support a wide range of business support activities required for the efficient operation of our Prince George branch. Key activities include answering phone calls, stocking and ordering office supplies, handling and sorting deliveries and employee mail, and other administrative tasks as required.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Receptionist:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answering phone calls and providing information to callers.
- Performing various clerical, administrative and filing tasks.
- Ordering, monitoring, distributing, and restocking office supplies as needed.
- Collect, sort and mail packages from the branch, as well as sorting and delivering mail to employees.
- Completing basic data entry, and office communications as required.
- Help schedule meetings, client visits and coordinate branch-related events.
- Provide branch tours to customers, new employees or candidates as required.
- Document control auditing and other administrative tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required, post-secondary administrative experience or training would be considered an asset.
- Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to speak fluently with customers under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Power-Point.
- Ability to prioritize work and communicate effectively with multiple departments.
- Good communication skills; Must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
- Ability to assess multiple tasks and develop a plan to complete them in a timely manner.
- Able to work efficiently unsupervised and shows the initiative to work independently.
