As an Associate Project Manager for Electrification business, you will be responsible for leading the execution of small projects with low complexity and ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with company procedures, relevant cyber security regulations and standards, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, cost/profitability targets, and scheduling targets.Reporting to Service Project Management Manager, you will be ensuring compliance to standard ABB internal directives and procedure, relevant cyber security regulations, standards, and contractual requirements. This position is based in Samut Prakan, Thailand.

Your responsibilities

  • Motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. Leading and collaborating with team allocated to the project
  • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk and ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Effectively monitoring and controlling project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow
  • Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders
  • Ensuring the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Creating project HSE plans and ensuring that common HSE policies and reporting are implemented across the project with all stakeholders, including collaboration/consortium partners and sub-suppliers
  • Applying immediate recovery actions for schedule delays and cost overruns, under guidance and coaching if required
  • Defining and applying basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively to avoid possible future schedule deviations with OTD impact
  • Identifying and planning all document deliverables required by the contractual scope of work and incorporates this plan into the overall project plan/schedule

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • About 2 years of project management experience
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
