Pet to Pal is hiring a Business Assistant to join our team! This is a part-time position with the potential for becoming full-time.
About Us:
Pet to Pal was founded by Matthew Maltese in 2016 and has since been a trusted provider of dog training and obedience lessons serving clients across the GTA. Our goal is to build a strong team that will enhance the client and pet experience from the point of first contact with Pet to Pal though to the completion of the final lesson.
About the Role:
As a Business Assistant, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing all administrative duties to ensure a smooth and seamless process in order to provide an exceptional client experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate product development
- Connect with external vendors to organize, plan and coordinate events
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external stakeholders
- Track business trends and analytics to assist with forecasting future business initiatives (Experience with Google Analytics considered an asset)
- Responding to client inquiries via phone call and email
- Manage social media accounts (including Instagram and TikTok?)
- Restocking merchandise and work supplies
- Manage daily schedule management to optimize efficiency
- Organize company records and documents
- General bookkeeping and tracking of business revenues/expenses in Microsoft Excel
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an Administration and/or Executive Assistant position
- Previous experience in retail/customer service considered an asset
- Post-secondary business education is considered an asset
- Creative problem solver
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Efficient organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bold leadership qualities
- Strong project management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Additional details:
- Job Type: Part-time with possibility to become full-time
- Compensation: hourly rate
- Hours: Anticipated hours are approximately 15-20 per week
- Location: Hybrid position. Location will vary depending on tasks. Remote role for administrative tasks and in the field when attending events, lessons etc. with Matthew. Time will be split between working from home, accompanying Matthew at lessons, attending events, etc.
