Responsibilities
Customer Care
- Welcome customers with courtesy and care.
- Respond to customer telephone calls and information requests (e.g., location of products, promotions, etc.).
- Accompany customers to the appropriate sections.
- Respond to cashier calls and package merchandise at the checkout, when necessary.
- Consult the flyers to help properly respond to customer questions and communicate customer suggestions to the front shop manager.
- Constantly monitor store activity to prevent shoplifting.
- Process sales transactions
- Calculate the cost of products or services
- Accept payments
- Calculate and return change when required by the payment method
- Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change
- Answer customer questions about products or services
- Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts
- Report issues with equipment
Work Methods
- Take notice of the work list to better understand priorities.
- Participate in the assembly and dismantling of displays for promotional products listed in the flyer.
- Verify the presence of labels and price cards on the discount bins and merchandisers, as well as in the various sections.
- Communicate pricing errors to the front shop manager.
- Regularly prepare labels and merchandise price cards in accordance with labelling and price display standards.
- Fill the bins with products, along with the promotional merchandisers and adjacent displays.
- Perform product facing according to applicable standards and conduct product rotation according to expiry dates.
- Empty garbage bins and place cardboard boxes in the designated outdoor bins.
- Record purchases on the e-terminal and handle cash, credit card and debit payments, where applicable.
- Take part in training and integration for new employees upon request from the front shop manager.
- Perform all other responsibilities required by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma;
- Minimal experience in sales or customer care;
- Able to lift loads and work while standing.
