Cashier
The Customer Service team is seeking a crew member who will present a positive first impression of the friendliness, excellent service, and high standards found at our restaurant.
The Cashier will greet guests upon arrival, will take orders at the counter and/or assist them with any questions regarding online order pick-up, will provide assistance with online enrolment, will assist with beverages and ice cream orders, and bid guests farewell as they leave.
As the Cashier/Customer Service, you must be able to carry natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted or intrusive. Additionally, this position must care for our guests by performing take-out order management, light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, and ensures restrooms are clean, stocked and orderly, or step-in and assist with basic food preparation.
Job Description
This position is ideal for those who have gained considerable experience (minimum 1-2+ years) working in commercial kitchens. Preference will be given to those with culinary education. This is an important job in any kitchen that comes with a lot of independence. This team is responsible for all culinary dishes that are prepared in their section. Because of this, a successful candidate must be very knowledgeable about his or her station(s), as well as culinary functions in general. A person in this role must also be very organized and comfortable working in a high-pressure environment. This person must also be able to communicate openly and efficiently with other culinary team members on duty.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting members and guests with a smile
- Taking accurate food and beverage orders at counter or via device
- Partnering with other crew members to meet target goals during your shift
- Restaurant cleanliness and ensuring items are well stocked
- Maintain a fast speed of service, especially during rush times
- Assemble orders in dedicated packaging; depending on the type of order
- Provide beverage cups and prepare ice cream / dessert orders as needed
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients during non-peak times – cross training to become a prep-cook.
