Northern Lights Ranch Ltd. is a group home in the vicinity of Hythe, AB T0H 2C0. It was established in 1988. Our mission is serve and support individuals with developmental disabilities, problem behaviors, and/or brain injuries in order that they have the opportunity to enjoy normal life experiences, to be involved in the community and to have meaningful work experiences to the best of their abilities. ```Overview```
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and contribute to their overall quality of life.
```Responsibilities```
- Provide personal care and assistance to individuals in their home.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Assist with all housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals ( OT's, PT's, dieticians, behavioural specialists to ensure the well-being of patients
```Skills```
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Experience in home care or a similar caregiving role is preferred
- Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures is a plus, but it is not essential
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, co-workers and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate nature and ability to provide emotional support
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality

Salary: $19.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 36 per week
