Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and support to clients according to their mental and/or physical disabilities
- Support client regulation and behavior management
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes or concerns to the care coordinators
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the well-being of clients
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Community Support Worker certificate or related education certificate (education assistant, youth worker, social services worker)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or vulnerable populations (preferred)
- Police check including the Vulnerable Sector (must have)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
