Job Description
Concierge - Seasonal Full Time
The knowledge of a great Concierge is the expectation of our Guests when staying at Fairmont Waterfront. Your ability to anticipate Guests’ needs and make informed suggestions will ensure they have a truly memorable stay.
What you will be doing:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Assist guests with mail, messages, and any plans or arrangements they require including onsite and offsite activities
- Assist with any plans or arrangements the guest intends to make during their stay
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Promote and sell the services within the Hotel
- Assist guest with dining reservations and handling group/ special occasions dining needs
- Provide personalized and specialized service to VIP guests of the Hotel through pre-arrival emails, communication and follow up throughout stay and post-departure
- Act as a liaison and resource for other departments and employees of the Hotel
- Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous customer related experience required
- Excellent knowledge of Fairmont Waterfront, Vancouver, and local attractions preferred
- Previous experience with Property Manager and, Open Table and Kipsu text messaging system an asset
- Must possess a professional presentation
- Must possess outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Full Member of Les Clefs d'Or an asset
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts and holidays
