Responsibilities
- Reviews documents and drawings for necessary data, enters appropriate data into the corresponding PCL document tracking system, and checks records for accuracy and completion.
- Ensures that all documents are filed electronically on the project computer network and that a record of these filings are recorded in the corresponding PCL document tracking system where applicable.
- Updates project and contract documents (drawings and specifications) as directed by the project team.
- Ensures that all required documentation is distributed to required stakeholders internally and externally.
- Assists in the preparation of project turnover materials including the generation of operations and maintenance manuals, assembly of all documents, and the organization and presentation of the materials.
- Ensures that all documents are properly submitted to all relevant stakeholders in compliance with contractual requirements and using mandated file transfer protocol (FTP) or document management system (DMS).
- Audits document log and project file, identifies document discrepancies, and expedites delivery of missing documents.
- Reports on status of document management process to project manager and drawing/Document Control supervisor. Assists with the design and implementation of solutions addressing document management issues.
- Liaises with the project team and external parties for verification and resolution of relevant project and contract documentation issues.
- Prioritizes tasks to meet the needs of the project team and their respective deadlines.
- Reviewing shop drawings - ensuring they compliment contract drawings, specs, etc.
- Other duties as requested/required
Qualifications
- Experience using Procore (an asset).
- Construction experience/knowledge.
