Marynissen Estates is looking to add to our excited team of retail tasting bar servers for this summer! We're currently looking to fill seasonal roles that have the potential to extend into the off season. We are seeking motivated and outgoing team members who possess a passion for connecting with winery guests through shared love of wine and our estates unique history.

We're a small batch winery located in Niagara-On-The Lake, open since 1991! We love being able to share great wines with great people at great value!

Your key role in this position is to offer a memorable experience for all guests and create connections through wine. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, dedicated, and goal driven to join our team of motivated individuals!

No wine experience necessary, but an interest in learning about wine is!

Duties and tasks of this role consist of, but are not limited to

· Serving guests on the patio and tasting bar area

· Take customer orders with accuracy in a timely fashion

· Upsell/promote Marynissen products with each customer interaction (i.e., wine club, merchandise, sales, and promotions)

· Assist with tour company tastings and structured tastings

· Bottle stocking and participation in general housekeeping duties

· Interest/assist in offsite events promoting Marynissen Estates

· Reporting to Manager

Requirements

· Must be able to lift up to 40lbs

· Smart Serve Certification

· Ability to work well in a team

· Multi-task and work in a fast paced environment

** Prior experience in retail, wine sales, or serving is considered an asset

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

• French not required

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• serving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Smart Serve (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0 (required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0: Relocate before starting work (required)
