Overview:
The Counter Sales Clerk will need to be team oriented, proficient on finding solutions, to quickly answer customer inquiries with regards to material availability and services offered by the company to meet their steel, fabrication, machining, painting, drafting or repair needs. They will research cost and inquire with Team Members and research through past orders to find an estimate time allocated to providing that service in order to provide an accurate quote or a close estimate to customers either by telephone, email or in person.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the REO department, the duties and responsibilities of the Counter Sales Clerk include, but are not limited to the following:
- Gain knowledge of all available services and products offered with the company and pass that on to clients.
- Be able to write sale orders and produce work orders
- Need to be able to multitask
- Need to be able to lift at least 50lbs while assisting at times by cutting material for customers
- Communicate easily by telephone, email and in person
- Communicate client’s needs with accuracy, and efficiency to the relevant service department
- Identify, track and report on product issues as they arise
- Ensure to compile proper filing of all paperwork and quality control
- When faced with a customer query, the Customer Service Clerk will be able to involve the correct production department to find a solution.
- Provide support to REO team as required
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school
- Detailed oriented with excellent organizational and follow-up skill
- Friendly and welcoming in nature
- Collaborative and engaging
- Learn company’s sales software and program (Auto Cad an asset)
- Confident and fast learner – willing to continually improve
- Fluent in English and French an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.66-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
