Customs Broker - Release Analyst (Full Time Remote)

Work Hours - Monday to Friday 4:00 pm to 12:00 midnight

• Full Time Remote (work from home) position
• Previous Customs Brokerage experience required.

We are actively seeking a Full TimeRelease Analyst with previous Customs Brokerage experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the Manager – Border Clearances.

In this position you will work with our afternoon and evening team.

Job Duties – Must have:

-Experience with processing vehicle imports regulated by TRCAN (Transport Canada)

-Experience with processing meat shipments regulated by the CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency)

-Experience with processing plant shipments regulated by the CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency)

-Experience with submitting LPCO’s (Licenses, Permits, Certificates and Other) to CBSA and any Participating Government Agencies for regulated shipments.

-Clear understanding of Document Image Functionality (DIF) for the Licenses, Permits, Certificates and Other (LPCO).

Operations Responsibilities (included, but not limited to)

-Work with Customs Operations Team to process the clearance of shipments, crossing at all ports across Canada.

-Process clearances using Single Window Initiative and IID

-Analyze shipment documentation to determine the correct importer of record, along with the applicable tariff, duty and tax rates

-Communicate with carriers and Canada Border Services Agency to see that shipments are set-up for customs clearance.

-Prioritize and complete work according to client demands, customs requirements and Customs Operations Team operating procedures

Qualifications

• Ideally, 1 – 2 years employment within the industry;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office;
• Keyboarding skills
• Ability to handle large volumes of work accurately;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Strong problem-solving ability;
• Ability to work independently;
• Ability to prioritize work & time management skills;
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
• Effective communication skills
