Data Entry Clerk – Temporary 8 month Contract

We are currently looking to hire a Data Entry Clerk on a temporary contract basis. The person in this role will be responsible for assisting with weekly customer (driver) settlements. Strong organizational and time management skills are very important in this role, as is the ability to effectively prioritize and communicate. Excellent attention to detail is also required. The technology used in this role is scheduled for replacement, so helping through this transition will be part of this role.
Reports to: Accounting Supervisor
Customer (taxi driver) settlement process:
- Scan taxi chits and other slips using scanning software, for upload to accounting system and to customer portal - primary role (other duties listed may be required as needed)
- Total all chits and slips submitted for payment, ensure slips are properly filled in (slips with errors are returned to the driver)
Other tasks as requested:
- Help keep user manuals current
- Holiday coverage for colleagues
- Transaction investigations, problem solving
- Special projects
- Other tasks as requested by supervisor or manager
Salary range: $15 - $19/ hr ($31,200 - $39,520 annually)

Job qualifications:
- Education: Some post-secondary preferred
- Well organized individual with excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and analytical abilities, able to work well independently and to collaborate when needed
- A naturally curious and process-focused problem-solver, who is willing to ask questions and challenge existing protocols after first learning and mastering full processes
- Energetic individual, with the ability to work in a fast-paced open-concept office with tight deadlines and high volumes of transactions
- Responsible and reliable
- Community-minded, and able to appreciate priorities of their role, our department, our company, our driver community, and the other customers we serve. Able to pivot when appropriate
- Some Microsoft Office suite skills, comfortable with learning and mastering new software programs. Excel spreadsheet skills are an asset
- Must be located in Calgary. Remote work is not an option for this role

Salary: $15.00-$19.00 per hour
