The Dispatcher will report to the Hawthorne Office every day. The typical workday will be from 06:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday, there may be a need to work extra hours depending on employee/client/company needs.
There will also be an on-call requirement covering and coordinating after-hour service requests every 4th week.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate, build and manage the most efficient day-to day work schedule.
Determine the best methods of available personnel and equipment to fulfill service requests.
Identify and evaluate any special requirements (training requirements, security clearances, client site orientation, etc) for each project that is being scheduled.
Dispatching of drivers, trucks, and other supporting vehicles to planned or emergency situations should they arise.
Effectively Communicate with operational staff, customer service, sales, and other departments to assist with problem resolution and coordinate the appropriate response.
Work with IS Staff ensuring all field service reports are completed properly and submitted at end of day.
Data entry and uploading of field service reports and other documentation into OMS System.
Assist IS Staff in RPRA, GEOTAB systems correcting errors, omissions or issues that may arise throughout the workday.
Work with other departments to develop a productive and profitable daily work schedule.
Coordination of out-of-town accommodation and per diems for IS Staff
Assisting staff and other department managers as needed
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Punctual and reliable
Minimum of two to five years’ experience in an industry related field.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of French is an asset.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a busy environment with unexpected interruptions
A willingness to learn and be a TEAM player.
