Environmental Coordinator (24-month term position)

We are seeking an Environmental Coordinator who is interested in developing and maintaining environmental programs at both divisions to meet the obligations of federal and provincial environmental regulations, Tolko policies, and other related standards and codes of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and complete activities related to the collection, assessment, and reporting of environmental monitoring data. This includes requirements associated with the divisions’ surface water, groundwater, soil, and air monitoring programs.
- Complete routine audits to ensure environmental compliance and facilitate corrective actions as required.
- Support the preparation of various reports.
- Evaluate and improve environmental monitoring programs. This can include procedure updates, standard operating plan development, and/or equipment improvements.
- Coordinate and support contracted work as required.
- Travelling to each division when required.
- A degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related discipline
- Work experience at an industrial facility will be an asset
- Ability to interpret environmental regulations, guidelines, and standards
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a desire to learn and innovate
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as part of a team to successfully achieve strategic goals
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities with others
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, particularly technical writing
- Proficient use of various office-based software
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a desire to learn and innovate
