Family Ties Association is a non-profit agency certified by the Canadian Accreditation Council of Human Services and has been providing quality services to children and families in southern Alberta since 1990.
Family Ties Association provides a broad range of services that assists families to develop their skills to enhance the safety and well-being of the family. Majority of referrals come from Child and Family Services.
Family Ties Association is currently recruiting a Essential Services Worker to work in the Essential Services Programs. The position is part time with casual shifts as needed.
Essential Services Programs include the following:
1. Supported visitation: A supported visit is a monitored interaction between visiting adults and children. The focus of the supported visit is to promote safe and successful visitation for all those involved. Visits may occur in the office, a home, community or other approved locations. This position involves transporting children to and from the visits; accurate documentation submitted to the office following the visit.
2. Transportation: a designated driver provides transportation for an identified individual or family from one point to another as requested by the referral source.
3. Back 2 School: is a short- term service provided to youth as support for unplanned absences from school.
This position reports to the Essential Services Program Supervisor.
Wage is approximately $20/hr depending on service provided.
Qualifications:
- Interested candidates should have a degree or diploma in a Human Services field or two years of work-related experience.
- Candidates must be off of GDL license to transport others in a work setting and be over 22 years of age (insurance requirement).
