Job #4346 - Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their supportive team on a 4-month contract. The ideal candidate is comfortable working around the general ledger, is organized and has high attention to detail. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with general accounting duties and processing general ledger transactions. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare invoices and records for accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Enter cheque and EFT payments and send notifications
• Prepare monthly reconciliations
• Assist with payroll and employee expenses as needed
• Provide support for paper and digital filing systems

Qualifications

Mandatory:

The main qualifications for this role include:

• Formal accounting education
• 1-2 years' experience working in an accounting related role
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Bilingual in French/English is considered an asset

How You Will be Rewarded:

• $25 – $27 per hour
• 37.5 hour work week
