Reporting to: Front Office Manager (FOM)

Hampton Inn & Suites Ottawa West is looking for a part time/full time Front Desk Supervisor to join our team. • Supervision and Leadership:
• Lead and oversee the Front Desk team, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, policies, and ensure a cohesive work environment.
• Train, mentor, and motivate Front Desk staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Guest Services:
• Ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests upon arrival.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Monitor and ensure the resolution of guest issues to guarantee guest satisfaction.
• Front Desk Operations:
• Oversee the check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness.
• Maintain accurate records of room inventory, availability, and guest preferences.
• Revenue Management:
• Assist in managing room rates, discounts, and promotions to maximize revenue.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to promote special packages and offers.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Prepare and analyze daily reports to track occupancy, revenue, and other key performance indicators.
• Manage cashiering functions, including handling cash transactions and ensuring accurate billing.
• Compliance and Security:
• Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and standards.
• Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard guest information and hotel assets.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with hotel management software and reservation systems.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00 per hour
