Health and Safety Administrator

Type: One year contract – may be extended
Location: Sault Ste. Marie

S. & T. Group is looking to hire a dynamic Health & Safety Administrator to join our team. This individual will work in coordination with S. & T.’s Health & Safety Coordinator to administer and monitor corporate occupational safety programs with employees and subcontractors. This position works closely with all levels of management, trade supervisors, and employees to ensure consistent promotion, utilization, and compliance of safe work practices.

The Health & Safety Administrator will be primarily responsible for all applicable forms and qualifications that will be completed through digital safety software, maintaining high level grading in our H&S compliance networks, maintaining, and updating H&S manuals, and sub-contractor documentation management. Additionally, COR certification and pre-qualification safety documents will be primary functions of the Health & Safety Administrator.

Primary Functions:

A. Safety Administration 50%

B. COR Certification 50%

Qualifications:

- Must have a recognized safety certification.

- Must be well versed in the Construction Occupational Health & Safety Acts and Regulations.

- Skillful with Microsoft Office products and other software programs; required.

- Certified Health & Safety Officer, Trainer or Occupational Health & Safety Representative considered an asset.

- Valid Driver’s License; required.
