SalaryJoin our reputable Storage Tank supply and installation company as a Full-Time Safety Professional! We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to assist in managing our day-to-day safety requirements for our project near Vanderhoof, BC. Excellent organizational skills, diligent reporting and a strong commitment to safe operations are important qualifications for this detail-oriented position. Additionally, we require candidates who are willing to take on new tasks, work with project management on site and can adapt to changing conditions as required.
Responsibilities:
- Enforce site specific safety plan as provided by the site management.
- Communicating with the onsite safety management.
- Attend all safety meetings, relay the information to management and conduct toolbox talks.
- Weekly safety audits.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and general office tasks.
- Tracking inspections and daily reports for accuracy and diligence
- Be open and adaptable to taking on new tasks and challenges as required.
- Conducting onsite incident management including investigations, reporting and disciplinary measures.
- Tracking and managing crew safety certifications.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years in a health and safety critical position OR related post-secondary up-to-date qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of daily reporting procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in a leadership position managing subordinates.
- Experience with Canadian safety regulations and Worksafe BC requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Up to date certifications including but not limited to confined space entry, fall protection, first aid and WHMIS training.
- A positive attitude, adaptability, and the willingness to take on new tasks and challenges.

- Hours: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rotation, 10 hour days with overtime pay 7 days/week
