Shifts: DAY & NIGHT - OT after 45 HRS - 6 DAYS PER WEEK

Compensation: $65K-$70K Base + Benefits PACKAGE
Job Description:
As a Health & Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and ensure compliance with applicable legislation related to OH&S Act, Regulations, MOL, WSIB, and Employment Standards
- Assist departments to improve and enhance their safety and training programs
- Focus on preventing accidents, incidents, and injuries
- Ensure employee training is up to date and maintain all training records
- Maintain absolute confidentiality and remain impartial
- Assist in developing and implementing occupational health and safety programs, policies, procedures, and processes
- Advise all levels of management, Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), and employees on Health and Safety issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and government regulations
- Administer WSIB claims management and the return-to-work program
- Assess safety training needs and provide training to employees
- Issue Certification Licenses and maintain accurate training records
- Conduct new hire orientations
- Review incident reports and provide assistance with corrective actions
- Coach/Train operations on incident trends and goals
- Perform Risk Assessments and assist in implementing countermeasures
- Coordinate fire drills and ensure Emergency Procedures are up to date
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Health and Safety field
- Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., Canadian Registered Safety Professional or equivalent).
- Experience in health and safety coordination within a manufacturing or automotive environment in Canada is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial safety regulations.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must pass company medical examination
