Job Overview:
New Opening the hotel ‘Tru by Hilton Bracebridge’ is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management with a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences. As the Hotel General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all hotel departments by maintaining high standards of service and maximizing revenue and profit.
Duties:
- Lead all activities related to the opening of the new hotel, including ordering and setting up systems, creating training procedures, inspecting hotel finishes, and preparing for a smooth opening.
- Conduct interviews, hire, and train department heads, supervisors, and staff. Recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, counsel staff, approve discipline, and terminations.
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including the front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, guest experience, food & beverage, and guest complaints, resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and manage monthly/annual forecasts, budgets, expenses, and payroll to achieve financial goals.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve financial targets, maximizing revenue and profit.
- Utilize Revenue Management analytics, technologies, procedures, tools, and training programs to optimize hotel profits.
- Create accurate short and long-term forecasts, achieving forecast accuracy across all profit streams.
- Maximize net room revenue contribution through an understanding of all booking channels and management of inventory and rates.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements as necessary.
- Develop health and safety policies, creating a safe and secure environment for guests and hotel staff.
- Work closely with sales and marketing to drive business growth.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Knowledge of ONQ PMS.
- Proficiency in hotel operations, marketing plans, safety programs, and personnel and labor relations is a must.
- Willingness to "pitch in" and assist co-workers with their job duties, demonstrating teamwork.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to live in close proximity to the hotel location.
- Candidate with Hilton work experience will be given priority.
