Team & Culture

As a HR Administrator, you will collaborate closely with the employees and other departments to support the various functions of HR including recruitment, employee relations, retention, performance management, training and development, and compliance. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment


Duties:


    • Maintain and track employee records including personal information, personal documentation, and ongoing changes to employment status.
    • Work with multiple departments to support the employee life-cycle, identify gaps in support or risks to the organization, and communicate them effectively and confidently.
    • Respond to employee requests regarding compensation packages inclusive of health and wellness benefits, and Group RRSP.
    • Assist with developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
    • Be well-versed and experienced with HR trends, best practices, and legislative changes to proactively address any potential impacts on the organization.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team and other departments on employee engagement initiatives and events.
    • Tracking and providing reporting for standard HR metrics such as onboarding, turnover, demographics, and exit interviews.
  • Qualifications
    • HR experience in the construction industry is an asset
    • Minimum of 1 years of experience as an HR Admin
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail.
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite.
    • Previous working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is an asset.
    • Working knowledge of ESA and Labour Relations preferred and considered an asset.
