Team & Culture*
As an experienced administrator, you are an organized professional with a great eye for detail. You will collaborate closely with the employees and other departments to support the various functions of HR including employee relations, full scope onboarding and offboarding, and compliance. You will carry out the traditional payroll function tasks for a small division of DENT and work collaboratively with the Payroll Coordinator to support the larger scope of payroll for the parent company. Your primary functions will include onboarding and offboarding functions, Health benefits and Group RRSP details, helping payroll on a bi-weekly basis and staying responsive to administrative requests from different departments.

Duties:*
- Complete payroll for approx. 20-25 employees.
- Oversee and review time collection in the field reporting software ensuring complete and accurate time entry.
- Process biweekly payroll and submit all remittances.
- Be well-versed and experienced with HR trends, best practices, and legislative changes to proactively address any potential impacts on the organization.
- Collaborate with the leadership team and other departments on employee engagement initiatives and events.
- Tracking and providing reporting for standard HR metrics such as onboarding, turnover, demographics, and exit interviews
- Provide support to the Payroll Coordinator as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.
- Help manage the general mailboxes for Payroll & HR inquiries
Expectations
- Demonstrated payroll processing experience
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll requirements
- Proven experience using Excel at an advanced level
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Experienced working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- A passion for problem solving, and be extremely detail oriented
- Willingness to learn and adapt to change under pressure
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, ADP Workforce Now and HCSS Heavy Job considered an asset
- Canadian Payroll Association certification is preferred
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience in a similar setting
- Minimum 2 years of HR experience in a similar setting
- Proactive problem solver
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced in Excel) and accounting software.
- ADP Workforce experience is considered an asset
- Working in a unionized construction environment is considered an asset
Candidates will be subject to a satisfactory police information check and credit check.

Salary: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
