Reporting directly to the Office Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with payroll functions of the company. The Payroll & Accounting Administrator will complete payroll and invoicing along with other duties as required. This is a permanent full-time position.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
- Enter new employees/Direct Service Providers into systems (DTC & Vista/Sage)
- Organizing timesheets and employees as per their work department
- Ensuring all employees time is entered daily and submitted for payroll
- Maintaining an accurate and up to date job detail listing of each department
- Reviewing and verifying all direct deposits
- Completing payroll
- Knowledgeable with various Unions and maintain updated info from Collective Agreements
- Issue ROE’s, and create any amendments as required
- Ensuring all Employees/DSP’s receive confirmation of direct deposit via email
- Providing backup administration duties as required
- Assist in resolving issues/concerns or direct them to the appropriate resource
- Communicating any reports Project Managers might need as per their site requirements
- Supporting Administration staff on site
- Prepare and present a variety of status financial reports upon request
- Review and verify LEM’s with proper coding
- Maintain the general filing system and file all correspondence

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven working experience as a Payroll Administrator
- Previous experience working with multiple Union Agreements
- Thorough knowledge of payroll principles and procedures
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
