Payroll Administrator

Provide outstanding payroll support in this great opening with an award-winning company based in Burnaby. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will process payroll for 800-1000 union and hourly employees, so high-volume payroll experience is a must!

What You’ll Do

• Act as the main point of contact for time, attendance and payroll-related inquiries
• Process payroll and maintain payroll information, records and reports
• Maintain time and attendance logs and information pertaining to new hires, terminations, benefits deductions, etc.
• Process union deductions and Market Recovery
• Document work procedures and train personnel responsible for attendance and payrolling backup
• Prepare and maintain various ah hoc reports and records
• Other payroll and benefits duties as required

What You Bring

• 5 years of payroll administration experience
• In-depth knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and principles
• Experience working with time, attendance, payroll and database systems (JDE experience is an asset)
• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service approach
• An eye for detail and accuracy
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation is an asset
