About the Opportunity
The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a permanent part-time (32 hours/4 days per week) Human Resources & Safety Executive Assistantbased in Lake Country, BC.
Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources & Safety, you will assist in the confidential administration support and coordination of the day-to-day human resources (HR) and occupational health and safety (OHS) activities. You will assist and support the team in a variety of HR and OHS activities including coordinating recruiting, benefits enrolment and administration, staff onboarding and offboarding, committee support, coordinating of training and tracking of related documentation with records and claim management.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering excellent service to our internal and external customers related to confidential HR & OHS services;
- Coordinating activities related to recruitment, orientation, onboarding and offboarding of staff;
- Maintaining records and databases and other confidential documentation;
- Providing administrative support to the HR & Safety staff team;
- Support and coordinate meetings, events and training activities;
More About You
To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of a diploma in office administration, business administration or a related field and a minimum of three years related administrative support experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a unionized or local government environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Prior to your start date, you must successfully complete a Criminal Record Check and hold a valid BC Driver’s License.

You have demonstrated experience in your ability to handle a complex and varied workload in a highly confidential work environment. You have a high degree of integrity, diplomacy and discretion and apply tact and discretion in all or your work. Your technical skills are advanced, and you bring a desire and curiosity to learn new systems. You apply your excellent written and verbal communication skills and a team environment while also being able to work independently with minimal supervision.

About the Benefits
- This exempt position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of $54,400 to $64,000 based on part-time 80%.
