Essential Coil Well Service, a division of ElementTechnical Services, is now recruiting for an HSE Coordinator/ In-House Trainerbased in our Red Deer location. The HSE Coordinator/ Trainer role isresponsible for a combination of, providing a variety of In-house Training andfor implementing and monitoring health, safety and environmental programs forECWS’s Red Deer facility. This role’s obligations would be shared betweentraining Employees and monitoring basic compliance at our facilities.
Reporting into the Manager, HSE, this role balances theneed for regulatory and company policy compliance with a coach and facilitatorapproach that is supportive of our safety and organizational culture.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include, but are notlimited to:
· Instruct multiple in-house training programsincluding but not limited to Forklift, Overhead Crane, Arial Lift, FallProtection, Oilfield Driver Awareness.
· Conduct facility compliance audits, documentfindings, and implement corrective actions;
· Perform facility worksite analysis, determineemployee risk exposures, behaviours, and institute control measures to reduceidentified risks and correct unsafe behaviours;
· Implement preventive measures and recommendimprovement on any unsafe conditions/material/equipment.
· Confirm and maintain all site required healthand safety documentation (i.e. incident reports, inspection reports, posteddocumentation);
· Help facilitate the care of injured workers andassist in the management of daily activities regarding injury recovery;
· Plan and execute the site safety functionrequirements;
· Participate in worksite safety meetings/hazardassessments; and
· Provide support to Operations to ensure we areprepared to go to work from an HSE standpoint.
Qualifications:
· Training experience in adult classroomsettings, Energy Safety Canada approved trainer is an asset.
· Previous HSE experience is an asset, but we arewilling to train a suitable candidate.
· 3-5 years of experience related to the oil andgas services industry.
· A degree of personal scheduling flexibility isrequired. Thesuccessful candidate must be available to be on call and respond quickly whenrequired (Evenings and weekends included).
· Dedication and commitment to safety excellenceand impeccable safety record are required.
· Valid class 5 Driver's license and clean driversabstract are required.
· The successful candidate must be comfortableusing basic computer software (Word, Excel, etc.) and mobile phoneapplications.
· The successful candidate must reside in Red Deer or the surrounding area.
