Now Hiring: Human Resources Business Partner (Competition #24-04)

Parkland County has an opportunity for a permanent, full-timeHuman Resources Business Partner position in the Employee Services Department. Under the direction of the Manager, Human Resources & Safety, the Human Resources Business Partner serves as an internal Business Partner and provides Human Resources advisory services, consultation, and assistance to all levels of staff and management. Areas of focus include recruitment and selection, onboarding and orientation, employee relations, absence/disability management, employee life-cycle management, and support for departmental and organizational-wide initiatives. This position may oversee and implement Human Resources projects that align with departmental and organizational goals.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration is required. A degree in Human Resources is considered an asset.
  • A minimum of two to four years of related experience working in a Human Resources environment including the areas of disability management, employee life cycle management and recruitment with familiarity of HR applicable legislation (Employment Standards, Human Rights, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP).
  • Completion of or working towards completion of CPHR, RPR, CTMP are considered assets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including preparing and presenting professional documentation for all levels of the organization is required.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite and the ability to navigate various software for applicant tracking, learning management and employee profiles.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills are required to form and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and management within the assigned client groups.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task efficiently and handle information in a sensitive manner are required.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. Upon hire, a satisfactory current Driver’s Abstract must be provided.
The total rewards package for this position includes:
A starting annual salary of $74,800 - $93,500 based on a 35-hour work week and option to join the Earned Day Off Program.
