Responsibilities:
- Assist senior management with team member recruitment and selection
- Conduct interviews and complete reference checks
- Draft offers of employment, pay changes, job description changes
- Maintain relationships with recruiters, colleges, university, trade organizations and other sources
- Provide orientation and onboarding to new team members
- Develop and maintain positive team member relationships
- Perform investigations when required
- Maintain personnel files, update DealerPilot
- Assist with company benefits programs, employee appreciation and training events
- Continuously update the management team on changes to OH&S and employment legislation, labour laws and Human Resources procedures
- Ensure job site safety is maintained through site supervisor support and job site inspections
- Lead safety investigations and reporting determining root cause and make recommendations for improvement
- Work with external WCB and OHS management consultants
- Lead return to work programs
- Working with our managers to determine their hiring needs and forming ads around them
- Reporting back on what success we’re having from our current ads/spend and adjusting accordingly
- Assisting with the interview process and pre-screening candidates
- Progressive discipline and terminations
- Safety meetings, inspections, and investigations
- Maintaining the Ducharme Group newsletter
- Inter-dealership challenges
- Helping create Fun at the dealerships
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Clean Drivers abstract, Criminal Record and Credit Check
- Human Resources Experience
- CPHR membership considered an asset
