Position Scope:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our energetic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, HR compliance, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Lead the recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.
- Coordinate new employee onboarding activities, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.
- Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, conducting exit interviews and complying reports for further action.
2. HR Compliance:
- Stay updated on federal and provincial employment laws and regulations to ensure HR activities remain compliant.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee personnel files, benefits, and HR policies.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness across the organization.
3. Payroll Administration:
- Collaborate with the Compensation Specialist to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
- Address payroll, compensation, and benefits inquiries and discrepancies with timely resolution.
4. Training Support and Event Coordination:
- Provide support to the Training Specialist in organizing and monitoring employee training activities.
- Assist in organizing corporate events, such as long service award ceremonies, team-building activities, and employee-led social team activities.
5. HR Services & Support:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolution as needed.
- Support HR projects / initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent.
- CHRP designation preferred, but not required.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in HR.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with HRIS and report writing preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
