Adecco is currently recruiting a dedicated full-time Human Resources Generalist to join a leading manufacturer specializing in heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems. This role involves providing tactical support for managers and the HR Business Partner, including coaching on employee relations matters and supporting HR administration. Pay rate: $30 / hour
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote); Must be able to go to an office (Markham, London, Ottawa, Burnaby, Calgary or Edmonton, or Montreal)
Shifts: Monday – Friday | 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide coaching to managers on organizational policy matters, employee relations issues, and compliance (e.g., employment standards)
Collaborate with managers to launch onboarding plans
Collaborate with shared services team members (administration of benefits and leave, payroll, etc.) to answer employee questions
Monitor and ensure employment practices consistent with legislative requirements and enterprise policies
Support the roll-out and adoption of enterprise and regional people strategies as required
Track and administer compliance requirements (e.g., work permit tracking)
Provide administrative and logistical support for HR Business Partner and Learning & Development Leader (e.g., scheduling trainings, PowerPoint creation, correspondence creation)
Support HR Business Partner with tactical administration of tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
2-4 years of related experience is required.
Knowledge of legal policies and procedures related to hiring practices and general employee relations and employment standards.
General knowledge of benefit and pay-scale systems.
Previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Bilingual (French/English) preferred but not required (mandatory if located in Quebec)
Ability to work independently and manage one's time
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Nice to have:
HR Certification/Designation (CHRP, etc).
Experience with ServiceNow or any other case system applications.
