Noyen Construction has been in business since 1964. With over 60 years of civil and industrial heavy construction, Noyen is looking for a Human Resources personnel to join our team. This position will be reporting to the safety manager and will include safety elements with the intention of achieving an health and safety administration designation.
Noyen Construction has over one million hours with no lost time incidents, and we are looking for someone with a safety culture that aligns with ours.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct recruitment for operators including resume review, reference follow up and interview.
- Conduct company orientations with new and returning workers.
- Foster a positive workplace, acting as the first point of call to address and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Complete any violence and harassment claims and reports.
- Assist with benefits administration.
- Maintaining legal requirements regarding employee conduct, human rights, and labour relations.
- Administrative duties including, but not limited to:
- Maintaining training documents;
- Creating policies and procedures regarding labour, human rights, etc.
- Only perform tasks and or use equipment for which they are competent.
- Refuse to perform unsafe work and agree to intervene on all unsafe acts and conditions.
- This position will be 20% field and 80% office, advise and work with manager(s) and supervisors with:
- Hazard identification and control
- Inspections/Audits
- Investigations Reports
This position will be Monday-Friday between 8 and 12 hour days, working the occasional weekend. Noyen offers benefits, RRSP matching and an excellent holiday allotment. We are looking for an outgoing person with Human Resources experience, and an asset would be experience in civil construction.

- Working knowledge of related legislation and the ability to interpret the regulations and laws
- Ability to work with limited supervision, in a team environment with great attention to detail
- The capacity to problem solve and thrive in high pressure situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Proficient user of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Experience with ISNet World is an asset.

Requirements for this position would be:
- Diploma, certificate, or degree in Human Resources
- 1-3 years of experience
- A background in construction
- Pre-Access D&A
- Class 5 Drivers License
