Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and self-drive individual who is eager to join us as an HR Intern, learn and participate in the delivery of HR Programs in collaboration with the Schneider Electric Canada Human Resources team for 4 months from May to August.


The successful Candidate will join our team in the Mississauga Location to collaboratively work with our HR Business Partners and Experts to successfully develop and implement HR related initiatives in alignment with our new Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and business ambitions.


If you are interested in playing a key role in shaping our organizational culture and HR Programs, bring innovative ideas in alignment with the current learning trends in your university program and actively contribute to the deployment of these programs within a good mix of collaborative and guided support and independent learning and deliveries then this is the position for you


What will you do?

  • Assist in delivering HR projects, focus groups and initiatives under the guidance of HR experts.
  • Support the HRBP team in various HR activities and programs.
  • Contribute to talent management efforts, including onboarding processes and early career talents.
  • Participate in projects related to the deployment and reinforcement of company values and culture.
  • Collaborate with team members on diverse HR tasks and projects.
  • Attend and actively participate in HR Team meetings with insights from current school curriculum, external points of views and asking questions to ensure full understanding of the different HR objectives discussed during the meetings.

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human resources management, Industrial Relations or a related field.
  • Availability to work in the Mississauga office 2-3 days per week in a hybrid work environment.
  • Curiosity for learning, a willingness to ask questions and share innovative ideas.
  • Passionate, resilient, problem solving and accountability mindset.
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills with an ability to also research and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Bilingual in French is an asset.
  • Experience with Power Point, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
