Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Health, Safety & Wellness and/or designate and supporting various Human Resources functions, the Human Resources Intern maintains effective and efficient service delivery; provides information and assistance to the HR team; ensures compliance with processes, policies, procedures and collective agreements; creates and distributes various correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
Administrative Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Answer general information questions, opening and retrieving mail, receiving and transferring phone calls, creating and distributing documents and providing customer service;
- Perform a wide variety of clerical, technical, administrative and, office support;
- Provide support for the preparation of reports and information to support HR functions and decision making for administrative matters;
- Assist with recruitment activities e.g. interview scheduling, reference checks, etc.;
- Assist in the research and development of HR related policies, procedures, etc.;
- Assist with surveys;
- Provide support to HR team members, as directed;
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Post-degree diploma student wanting to fulfill the practicum component (560 hours) of the Diploma in Human Resources;
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint experience an asset);
- Work independently to do research and work as a team member.
