Role Purpose
The Human Resources Coop Student will support and facilitate HR activities such as Talent Management, On-Boarding, Benefits Administration, policy and collective agreement administration, data integrity and reporting. They will work closely with the HR team to ensure service, initiatives and communication aligns to Policy, best practices and Woodbridge operating objectives.
Responsibilities
- Posting jobs, screening candidates, organizing interviews, compiling employment offers, running background checks, supporting departments with on-boarding process
- Organize and maintain personnel records in accordance with Company and Privacy requirements
- Update internal databases such as Vacation, Sick, and Maternity Leave etc.
- Revise Company Policies and Employment Letters etc.
- Update training matrix for sites/functions
- Be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries
- Proactively supports HR operations and workforce planning
- Provides administrative support in the development of internal and external communication
- Participate in HR projects (e.g. organizing events such as Employee Engagement, Christmas Party, BBQ, etc.)
- Other HR duties as required
Requirements
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with a focus on Human Resource Management
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Knowledge of Labour Legislation & Employment Standards Act
- Demonstrate good relationship building and management skills
- Knowledge and understanding of organizations structures, HR operational policies and procedures
- Highly developed communication skills, written, listening and speaking
- High organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Able to work autonomously and get on with the work
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Must be able to commute daily to the location

Salary: $16.55-$20.00 per hour
