We are looking for a full-time Infant & Child Development Consultant (ICDC) for a 20 month contract to support infants and their families in-Centre, and in-home with some potential travel throughout the Algoma District. The position will be located out our Queen St. office in Sault Ste. Marie. The ICDC will provide services for infants and their families with, or at risk for delays in their development based on a variety of factors and will work with families to optimize their child’s development.

What is required from you:
- An undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Studies, Psychology, Child Development, Social Work or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with infants and children and their families with established development and/or physical disabilities
- First Aid and C.P.R. Certification
- Satisfactory criminal background check and vulnerable sector screen (CPIC)
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is a job requirement

- Experienced developing and facilitating education to parents and caregivers.
- Demonstrated ability to complete assessments and have sensitive conversations with parents and caregivers an asset.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, balanced with a commitment to a collaborative team approach.
- Are sensitive to linguistic, cultural, social, economic, individual and positional differences among staff, providers and children/families served.
- Ability to communicate in both official languages an asset
- Access to a reliable vehicle as travel is required throughout the district
