Responsibilities of this specific role will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Attend client facing meetings to help consult on technology strategy and requirements and shape the future of digital technology in the built environment;
- Design digital technology systems for the built environment including data networks, wireless/radio systems, voice systems, security systems, public address, customer information systems, airport systems, and transit systems;
- Assist with system integration management activities and Enterprise Architecture;
- Explore how people, process, Technology and the environment must be combined for each project to enable successful integration solutions to realize business goals;
- Use project delivery assistance tools such as IBWave, Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Office, Abacus;
- Attend meetings and learn from listening, asking questions and discussion;
- Be involved in discussions with Architects, Electrical, Mechanical and Structural Engineers to gain knowledge & experience.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in System Design Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Systems, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or relevant focus.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
- Excellent communication skills are crucial for team-based working
- Keen interest in pursuing a career in the field of IT, communications, and technology infrastructure and systems design
- Detail oriented with excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
- Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
- Previous internship experience advantageous
- Experience with: Microsoft Word, Excel
- Must not require Visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred:
- Experience with: AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, or Project
- Working towards EIT/ FE Certification
- Internship experience in a design consulting firm
- History of technical presentations and writing, knowledge sharing with peers
- Academic research or testing with relevant focus
- Confirmed ability to perform in a deadline situation
- Evidence of teamwork and leadership such as professional accomplishment or honor society
