Inventory Clerk

(Full Time) Inventory Representative

Custom Cellular, our independent TELUS dealership, has an immediate opening for a Full Time Inventory Representative! We’re looking for a highly focused and analytic individual that can that share our passion for innovation and technology. Work involves a high degree of concentration, accuracy, problem solving, communication and working under time constraints. An individual with experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

· Process purchasing orders as required; track orders, integration into POS system and investigate problems.

· Receive and compare information on packing slips with quantities on purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.

· Receive and compare shipment information from packing slips to Purolator orders to ensure accuracy.

· Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies and/or damages and notify appropriate department.

· Follow up on late shipments for credits with the appropriate department.

· Pull reports from the POS system for internal stock management.

· Run analytic reports and adjust quantities for inventory demand trending.

· Complete internal transfers of stock as required.

· Track, complete, and submit price protection of inventory to the appropriate departments.

· Create part numbers and source products from vendors.

· Run reports for inactive stock to be marked down with approval by Director of Operations.

· Manage discount coupons and POS system discounts.

· Manage budgeting and expenditures.

· Complete necessary DOA/RMA/OTC as required, investigate discrepancies.

· Aid in completion of daily/monthly stock counts as required and investigate issues to ensure accuracy.

· Process and/or approve invoices for payment and enter in the POS system.

· Process and document returns as required, following established procedures.

· Sort, count, pack, label, insure, and/or log inventory which is shipped and/or received.

· Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; determines most economical and efficient shipping method; packs items to ensure safe delivery.

· Prepare bills of lading; check items to be shipped against shipping manifests to ensure that quantities, destinations and routing are correct.

· Trace lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiate proof of delivery documents.

· Professionally handle inventory escalations and work to resolve them.

· Store merchandising and operational tasks.

· Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks as required.

· Maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.

· Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry, staff cleaning schedule, etc.

· Any overtime must be approved by Director of Operations before performing the work if overtime is required.

· Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

· Short periods of travel may occur on occasion.

Qualifications and assets for the roll:

· Knowledge of General Ledger, costing, purchasing.

· Understanding of mathematics and basic accounting.

· Knowledge of reporting and data management

· Time management
