Accounting Clerk - Inventory

CFR Chemicals is looking for an Accounting Clerk who will mainly be responsible for the Invoicing of the company as well as other general accounting tasks. The Accounting Clerk will monitor the invoicing email, build orders in the ERP system, create invoices when orders are filled, and then submit invoices for payment. Candidate should be familiar with how to enter invoices through portals such as OpenInvoice and SAP Ariba. They will also help with the management of inventory in terms of tracking, receiving, and reconciling items. This position will be an integral part of the accounting team and help to ensure the timeliness and fidelity of receivables and inventory information. Employee can report to either the Kuusamo (by Sylvan Lake) or Calgary location for work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Process invoices as orders are filled
• Temperature correct invoices and understand how specific gravity affects invoicing
• Send invoices to customers via portals or email (i.e OpenInvoice, Ariba, etc)
• Cross check invoices of other Accounting Clerks before they are sent out for processing
• General accounting as needed
• Receive documents/inventory tickets from warehouse and enter to spreadsheets with accuracy; scan and email to customer
• Enter physical inventories weekly
• Scan orders, receiving, and inspection documents to file
• Assist in creation of purchase requisitions
• Create orders and batch tickets
• Print orders, batch tickets, labels, and SDSs and send to warehouse
• Review shipped orders and scan to file for invoicing.
• Answer phones
• Other ad hoc tasks as required

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is an asset
• Experience working with DatacorERP/Chempax considered an asset
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint is mandatory
• Must have an understanding of excel formulas, understand how to set up excel worksheets, and work pivot tables
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable working in a cloud environment as all data entry and filing is done online
• Accounting / bookkeeping experience mandatory
